An Overview of ACT

I utilize a mindfulness-based cognitive therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT (say "act"). ACT is therapy proven effective for depression, anxiety and mood disorders, The Veterans Administration utilizes ACT in the treatment of PTSD. ACT has been proven effective at managing obsessive and repetetive thoughts, and even helps manage the voices that often accompany schizophrenia.
